La Glory's is a soul food restaurant. It is black owned located at 3350 Allegheny Ave Columbus, Oh near the airport. It has a wide range of soul food that's freshly made daily. It has a variety of soul food such as chicken, fish, mac and cheese and your typical soul food flair. It has a little more than your basic menu such as smothered pork chop, salmon and on certain days, BBQ pig feet.

I decided to try a combo today. I purchased the chicken and perch dinner with two sides. They were mac and cheese, greens and cabbage mixed. I also wanted to try their yams along with extra cornbread. They also offer a vinegar base mix with onion for your cabbage or greens but you have to ask. I have had bigger pieces of chicken before, but the two I received were more than enough. They were crunchy and had good seasoning, not too much salt. Inside the chicken was moist and tender. The fish had three pieces that were cooked just right. The ends were not hard and the texture was flaky. They gave me two containers of hot sauce that was more than enough, but if you want more ask for it. I prefer my hot sauce I have at home, but that's just me. The sides were also good. The yams were enough for two people but the greens, cabbage and mac and cheese was just enough for one person. I would have purchased two servings of the greens and cabbage or a large because they were seasoned just right. The mac and cheese was also good and seasoned right. I know everyone has their way of making mac and cheese, but theirs was good. You can tell it was homemade from someone who knew what they were doing. The greens were perfectly seasoned for my taste. The yams were sweet, soft and not overcooked. You can't have soul food without corn bread, so I purchased an extra piece. It was soft and moist. They offered curbside pickup and you can order online or you can call in your order. I have been inside before in the past and the place was clean, the people were extremely nice and had on mask and gloves while serving. They practiced safety measures during my visit. So the next time you have family flying in at John Glenn airport and they want some down home cooking, stop in down the street and have some good food. Don't wait too late because when its gone, it's gone. See their hours on the website.

My final review: My rating is between 1-5. One meaning needs improvement and five being the best.
