Tennessee Pit Barbecue is located on the corner of Brice and Tussing Rd next to Payless shoe store. It sells a number of BBQ items such as ribs, smoked sausage, pulled pork, chicken and sometimes beef brisket. He has a number of sides that are satisfying to your taste.

This is one place you can't go wrong. I decided to try the ribs, smoked sausage, bake beans, mac & cheese and corn-on-the-cob. OMG it was good. The ribs had the perfect flavor with or without the sauce. Please get the sauce. It wasn't too sweet and had a hint of spice. They smoke them over wood that gives them a great texture and a nice bark. They have a smoker that they call Big Red and you can see the smoke from a mile away. They were tender and juicy. The sides were also very good. The baked beans had a hint of cinnamon with a little bit of green peppers mixed in. They were not your typical baked beans, but they were good. Not too sweet. The mac and cheese was just your typical homemade recipe that was cheesy and tasty. The smoked sausage was smoked just right and was placed on a hoagie bun with or without sauce. The skin on the sausage was a little chewy, but it was smoked just right. The corn on the cob was OMG sweet. They smoke it in the husk hours before they open. After you get it home, you can still smell the smoke. They use bi-color corn which is the sweetest.
They were all wearing a mask. The customers respected each others space.
If you want their BBQ you better get there early. When it's gone it's gone. He's only open from Thursdays through Sundays from 12-7. Times sometimes vary. Check his face book page.
