Ice Cream Rollery Review

Ice Cream Rollery has a number of locations throughout Columbus ,Ohio. I visited the one on 4691 Morse Rd, Gahanna, Ohio. They don't have a large menu but what they do have is sufficient enough. Its a different type of Ice cream, but well put together.

This is a very unique business. How many places can you go and get ice cream and buy a lobster roll in the same place? Here you can and they didn't disappoint me. At first I wondered how can they do both. After watching them behind the counter and smelling the lobster, I was in. The ice cream is first spread out on a frozen sheet pan then rolled into five or six rolls. You have the option of going off the recommendations or creating your own. I love butter pecan so I chose the Perfect Butter Pecan with Carmel dripping, whipped cream and pecans sprinkled on top. It was different but good. I also tried the Cheesecake Escape and that was also tasty. The cheese cake was my favorite. They take a piece of cheese cake and chop it up real fine, roll it up in the ice cream then add whatever topping you desire. You can actually eat it with your hands or ask for a knife to cut the ice cream roll. There is a glass window in front so you can watch them prepare your desert. This was the first time ever having a lobster roll. A little expensive but hey its lobster and it was great. They have different prices based upon how much lobster you want. You have a couple of choices to choose from. If you choose, you have a choice to have it warm or cold with mayo or not. I chose warm and a little mayo. The lobster was cooked to perfection and the roll was buttery and soft.

The employees were very polite and helpful if asked for advice from first timers. The place was clean, all employees had on a face mask and only eight customers were allowed in at a time for safety. The line was starting to form outside on a Thursday, so be prepared for a wait during peak times. They do have inside seating, but was off limits during the epidemic.

My final review: My rating is between 1-5. One meaning needs improvement and five being the best.
