Off the Bone BBQ

Off the Bone BBQ is located on 6840 Refugee Rd. It's located in a shopping center. It has everything from ribs, hotlinks, chicken, brisket and pulled pork. The sides are the same as most BBQ joints. Mac & cheese, bake beans and coleslaw. This place also has greens.

To compare the Tennessee Pit with another BBQ joint, I had to try Off the Bone. This is what everyone has been talking about on Facebook. I decided to see for myself. The ribs looked nice and the sauce tasted good, but the ribs fell a little short for me. I missed the smoked charcoal grilled flavor. They were okay, but it was missing that flavor you would expect when you pull up. They were tender and meaty. The pulled pork was spot on. It was tender, there was no fat and it was flavorful. The sides were delicious. The mac & cheese was super creamy with pepper sprinkled on top. The noodles were not overcooked. They tasted like the noodles were cooked then the sauce was added, but not baked. The coleslaw was store bought, but still sweet and tasty. The baked beans were awesome. They had spices along with cinnamon, It didn't disappoint. I was offered a hot link, but I thought it was too expensive.

The sides from Tennessee Pit and Off the Bone were good, but when it came to the meat, Tennessee Pit was the best.

The workers were all wearing mask and gloves while the crowd kept their distance.

My final review: My rating is between 1-5. One meaning needs improvement and five being the best.

Did you notice that the macaroni and cheese was “Stouffer’s”?
