The Drunch is a Diner + Bar located on 995 N 4TH St in Columbus, Ohio. I have been reading a lot about this black owned restaurant and finally decided to give it a try. This time I took my daughter with me, because like me she loves to eat.

I finally found my way to The Drunch and let me tell you, I was not disappointed. We ordered more food than we could eat, but I wanted to try the traditional breakfast along with the mini donuts. OMG the food was good. The pancakes were fluffy and not dry with a little confection sugar lightly sprinkled on top. They had a real nice flavor and even after sitting awhile they remained hot during the whole meal. They were extremely huge. I would recommend if you are eating with someone else, get one serving and share. The bacon was cooked just right, not overcooked and not undercooked. Not to crunchy and not to chewy. The mini donuts reminded me of the donuts you get at Ohio State Fair. These had confection sugar sprinkled on top with some type of berry drizzle. They came out soft, light and fluffy. I had to try the basic egg, potatoes and bacon combo along with toast. They had a lot of choices to choose from, but I chose over easy for the eggs. The potatoes were cooked and seasoned just right, not hard and overcooked. Due to the virus, make sure you ask for salt and pepper packets.
The service was one of the best I have experienced. When you arrive they offer sanitizer along with having your temperature taken at the front entrance. The hostess was very attentive and the waitress was professional and patient. The one thing I noticed was when they ask you if you wanted water, they give you a choice between bottled or in a glass. The place was immaculate and social distancing was being practiced. I thought it was kind of pricy, but no business is trying to break even. The menu wasn't overwhelming. They also have a lunch menu. It had a number of items for the whole family like shrimp and grits, chicken and waffles, potatoes skins, burgers and flatbread pizza. Overall I was very pleased with my experience. If you decide to go, I can imagine in the evenings or weekends it can get pretty crowded. It would be worth it.
My final review: My rating is between 1-5. One meaning needs improvement and five being the best.
